The newly constituted Karnataka Film Producers Association has been hailed for solving some of the long pending crisis very quickly.

Within a day of election as President of Kannada Film Producers Association President Munirathna Naidu convened meetings to solve the dancers association, wage hike pact was signed and a major decision of who should declare bundh, strike etc have been arrived.

According to Munirathna Naidu there will be no scope for bundhs and strikes here afterwards. In case it is necessary the three heads of – Kannada Film Producers Association, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and Karnataka Cinema Workers Association are entitled to make such announcement. This is a welcome decision and laudable one indeed!

Coming to the 15 days dancers association the meeting on Saturday from morning 11 am till late evening solved the crisis and the association members have been asked to attend the shoot from Monday without fail. The issue of dance director Tribhuvan will be solved soon it is learnt. As of now he has been allowed to work.

The affected from the 15 days Dancers Association strike were the films of producers Ramu, Yogaraj Bhat, Dwarakish, MS Ramesh and others as dancers abstained from shooting.

On the wage hike – the pact arrived between the Kannada Film Producers Association and Cinema Workers Association – there is a good give and take.

According to sources nearly 20 percent is the hike for the cinema workers from this financial year. They have come forward to adjust in their timing, bata, allowances etc.
